Forever Settled

For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89

The Word of God is settled forever and stands firm and resolute in the heavens – this means the Word of God will not and cannot be changed. This fundamental truth must also be settled within our hearts. For the Word of God to change, this whole universe must cease to exist as it is the very power of His Word that sustains and upholds it. You see, the Father says: “ So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Do not think it strange that in these last days, spirits of anti-Christ, both inside and outside of the church have been rising up in droves, seeking to sow seeds of doubts regarding the authority and authenticity of Scripture. Settle this in your heart now and forever, In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God.  All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

Settle it in your heart, Christ Jesus is all He claims to be – Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me. Those who are unsettled and uncertain and especially those who are scoffers and deniers will come at you with deceptive arguments of pseudo-science, blind to the fact they’re operating under the spirits of error, envy and pride. They will try to do all to get you to move away from scripture, your sure foundation. Stay strong, be settled, your Lord and Savior did not defeat the enemy with an argument but with a simple “It is written…”

Remember, in this warfare the Word of God is your sword;  DO NOT allow them to disarm you!

Every word of God is tried and purified; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him. Prov 30:5

  1. a church I was a member of used to sing a hymn that echoed these words over and over. fondness for my ‘family in christ’ at the Scottsdale Church.

    1. “Sanctify them [purify, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] through thy Truth; Your Word is Truth”

only the Spirit of the Word can change a heart. “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

      1. Not all that passes for truth these days is actually true in the True sense. And sometimes what one hears as the spirit is just our own imaginations running away with our brains.

    2. Correct, not all claims of truth is actually true. Which is why we have to let Truth possess us, then we’ll know we’re in possession of the Truth. “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth who proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me.”
The Lord keeps those with sound thoughts in perfect peace, because they trust in Him. One’s mind should be rested on the finished work of Christ, not wondering & wandering with their own vain imaginations.
We must learn to trust as Trust brings rest.
