I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Ro 12:1
The journey of the child of God on this earth is one in which he is finding his way back to his heavenly Father. However, man by himself, by his own might, by his own strength cannot retrace the steps back to the Father’s Throne. It was for this reason, that the Father, not willing that any of his sheep be lost, sent his only begotten son to retrace the way for us.
What darkness the Lord in his anger has brought upon the daughter of Zion! He hurled down from heaven to earth the glory of Israel, and did not remember in the day of his anger that Zion was his footstool. (La 2:1)NEB
So Zion existed in the heavens before she was cast down by Almighty God.
Why did God do such a thing? Read Lamentations 1:8-22 to see what transpired in the heavens to cause such a great fall. I’ll give one egregious instance here.
The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation. (La 1:10)KJV
This explains Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. So the heavenly places needed to be sanctified from all the spiritual wickedness. Let me clarify here that this wickedness existed in the lower realms of the heavenly places, such as the Garden of Eden. One would have thought that Israel (that’s us – who are children of the Most High) would have repented of her evil ways, but no. She has persisted to this day in her wicked, abominable and evil ways. There is good news amidst all this though. She will come to the realization of her evil ways, repent of them, and be restored to her former glory. This however is a process, it’s not an easy one at that. The course is littered with all the subtleties that the devil employs in his never ending quest to try to derail us from ascending to the Father’s Throne.
Remember, the spiritual world is the pattern, and whatever transpires in the spirit world will eventually be manifested in the earth.
In the entire history of mankind, ONLY ONE person has ever made the journey back to the Father’s Throne, thus restoring for us the path to salvation, to eternity. Below, we discuss the path taken by Jesus from El Elyon’s Throne in the twelfth realm, to the earth realm, his death, resurrection, and ascension.
For those who wish to, the entire book of Hebrew relates The Son of God (Jesus) and the necessity for his mission.
So, as mentioned above Christ was “slain from the foundation of the world.” This spiritual sacrifice which was made to restore the heavenly sanctuary, must also be replicated in the earth realm to save and sanctify our sanctuary. “The blood of Jesus Christ is an integral part of our salvation, be it for our spirit, soul, or body.”
Remember, our earthly sanctuary is just a copy and shadow of the heavenly sanctuary where Jesus is the high priest forever. Amen. “Thou art a priest forever in the succession of Melchizedek.” He was fit for our condition – devout, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, raised high above the heavens.
Taking a step back to a time under the law where it was essential that the high priest make yearly sacrifices, first for his own sins and then for the sins of the people. However, “ the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh” lasted only one year. It also could never make us perfect before the Father.
‘The priesthood Jesus holds is perpetual, because he remains forever.’ His sanctuary is not made by human hands and has no need for daily sacrifices, as the high priests did. It’s crucial to note that the priesthood has always been from the tribe of Levi as laid out by God the Father to Moses. Jesus Christ, our high priest is from the tribe of Judah, thus establishing a new covenant between God and man.
For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of -Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. (Heb 8:7-10)KJV
So he entered the sanctuary once and for all, where he offered himself without blemish (sin) to God, a spiritual and eternal sacrifice: and his blood will cleanse our conscience form the deadness of our former ways and fit us for the service of the living God. “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. (John 10:17-18).
And so his crucifixion brought about the forgiveness of all our sins: past, present and future sins. Yes!! All the sins you have not even committed yet are forgiven by God already. Good News isn’t it. So we walk in forgiveness not carrying around the perpetual consciousness of sin. This is evil in the eyes of the Lord. Because when he sees you, he sees his Son.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
God Almighty says : Your sins and iniquities he will remember no more.
This is the blessing for all who believe that “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
It’s a choice. God doesn’t force anyone to believe or to receive his free gift. If you accept, you believe and say thank you Father for the gift of salvation. Amen. If you don’t, you’ll seek other ways to salvation, but for sure you won’t find any because
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
The choice is yours if you believe or not.
